Job summary

Funnel Leasing Inc. is seeking a Controller who can work from anywhere in the U.S. to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and tax compliance.

The role includes strategic guidance, audits, acquisitions, and treasury management, with a focus on internal controls and process improvements. The position supports a Tampa Bay-centric search but accepts applicants nationwide. Some Tampa Bay-area candidates may commute to Odessa, FL HQ 1–2 days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• CPA license (active or inactive) required.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, with role progression.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• SaaS industry experience preferred.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel & Google Sheets).
• Experience with QBO, Chargebee, Avalara and related tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GAAP-compliant financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Lead accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, and M/Q/A reporting.
• Manage audits and coordinate external auditors; support acquisitions.
• Improve processes through automation; maintain accounting policies and controls.
• Oversee taxes (sales and income) and treasury; ensure liquidity and ROI on cash.
