R3 Lithium, Inc. is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting.

The role will establish policies, procedures, and internal controls while overseeing monthly close, audits, and statutory reporting. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise in industrial manufacturing, a hands-on leadership style, and experience building scalable processes as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA required.
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of a corporate accounting function.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to research and resolve complex accounting matters.
• Significant manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience in multinational organizations with consolidations and international reporting.
• Strong ERP experience and financial systems implementation/optimization.
• Ability to develop scalable accounting policies and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Company’s accounting function, including GL, journal entries, AP/AR, payroll accounting, fixed assets, inventory, and core activities.
• Own month-, quarter-, and year-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement prep.
• Ensure financial statements comply with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Provide technical accounting leadership for complex transactions and policy implementation.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversee manufacturing and inventory accounting, including costing and variances.
• Manage capital projects accounting and asset capitalization.
• Coordinate multinational accounting, consolidations, currency matters, and intercompany transactions.
• Oversee external audits and liaison with tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting and statutory requirements.
• Partner with CFO and FP&A on reporting, forecasting, and decision support.
• Support ERP and financial system optimization and integration.
• Build and develop the accounting organization to scale with growth.
