Job summary

ROC USA seeks an experienced Controller to lead the organization’s accounting and financial reporting for ROC USA and its subsidiaries. The role reports to the CFO and focuses on accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information, policy development, and strong controls.

The position is full-time, remote with an option to work from our Washington, D.C. office. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and events. ROC USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit/CDFI or financial services.
• CPA and strong GAAP knowledge required.
• Experience with nonprofit grants accounting, HUD grants, and regulatory reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for ROC USA and subsidiaries.
• Oversee GAAP compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Manage annual audit, Form 990 filings, and tax/compliance activities.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team and strengthen the finance function.
