Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a Control Systems Engineer II to provide technical support for planning, scheduling and executing hardware and software engineering for Building Automation Systems projects in healthcare, industrial, commercial and mission critical sectors.

This remote role collaborates with engineers, vendors and client staff to ensure successful operation and acceptance of automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related discipline.
• Two years of hands-on engineering, programming, testing and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure (noted in requirements).
• Knowledge of OT protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, MQTT) and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engineering documents under supervision.
• Prepare drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Assist with selection of DDC controllers and field devices.
• Support pre-construction data collection and design documentation.
• Coordinate with project management and vendors to ensure timely delivery.
