Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Contracts Principal to manage contracts and proposals within the Air Force, Space and Intelligence group. The role supports Defense and Civil Space markets and may be remote anywhere in the United States.

You will partner with stakeholders through capture, proposal, and contract execution phases, bringing deep federal contracting expertise and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, organized, and capable of building collaborative

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; 10 years of relevant experience or Master's with 8 years; 4+ years may substitute for degree.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Extensive cost proposal experience and contract administration principles.
Knowledge of FAR, TINA, GAAP and federal contracting practices.
Proven experience with OTA, prototype OTAs, and competitive positioning.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary customer-facing interface with Contracting Officers and acquisition specialists; build trust-based relationships at all levels.
Lead negotiations with a solutions-oriented mindset; protect SAIC interests while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Advise on OTA, CSO, and prototype project proposals; analyze IP rights, data rights, pricing, and program implications.
Identify and mitigate OCI; develop OCI mitigation plans and coordinate with contracts management.
Educate internal/external partners on contracting strategies and market dynamics; communicate trade-offs clearly.
