Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking a Contract Program Manager to oversee outsourced maintenance and operations for the fiber network. You will be the primary contact for I&R and service-wire vendor partners, locates, and network maintenance, ensuring contract terms and safety standards are met.

This role emphasizes budget-conscious project control, cross-functional collaboration, and timely reporting, with on-call duties and potential nights/weekends as part of the rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience maintaining outside-plant facilities and supporting daily Install and Repair work involving fiber and copper, locates, and service wire.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects to budget.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) is required.
• Ability to read and interpret Install and Repair, Locates, and Service Drop Wire documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement and day-to-day performance of Install and Repair, Locates, and Service Wire drop vendors.
• Monitor vendor partner performance and ensure compliance with contract terms, local and state construction requirements, and applicable codes.
• Establish and maintain professional, effective relationships with vendors.
• Inspect field work for quality and timeliness to support customer satisfaction.
• Perform site inspections to verify quality control and safety compliance.
• Ensure accurate billing and timely payment for services performed.
• Prepare and update weekly and ad hoc reports as required.
• Manage projects in alignment with approved budgets and plans.
• Resolve issues as they arise or quickly engage the appropriate resources to minimize schedule, quality, and service impacts.
• Coordinate with Dispatch and Activity Management regarding system access, badging, and building access, and work schedules.
• Maintain adequate supply points and inventory to support installation demand.
• Participate in the assigned on-call rotation.
• Establish after-hours support for outages and damage response through a rotation with FDC Construction teams.
• Build strong working relationships with Vendor Partner Managers and internal teams to promote effective collaboration.
• Develop a training path for Vendor Partner Managers to ensure technicians are properly trained on Ziply Fiber tools, including CXP and NetBox.
