Job summary

Clean Power Research is seeking a Contract Product UX Designer to deliver data-driven experiences for PowerClerk and related SolarAnywhere projects. The role focuses on independent design work across the full product lifecycle, collaborating with product managers and engineers to shape intuitive interfaces for utilities and energy agencies.

The engagement is 1099, with approximately 5 months duration, remote primarily, with occasional on-site collaboration in the Bellevue, WA area as agreed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in user experience design with emphasis on interaction design.
• Portfolio showing product thinking: navigation, flows, IA, visualization.
• Experience designing data-centric web apps with intuitive interfaces.
• Fluency in UX best practices: user-centered design, IA and interaction design.
• Experience building and documenting a shared design system.
• Ability to translate unclear requirements into flows, wireframes and prototypes.
• Proficiency in Figma with components, auto layout and libraries.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently.
• Passion for renewables and clean energy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define design requirements and solutions.
• Deliver high-quality designs for new features and refine existing experiences.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams on ideation and definition of new experiences.
• Follow user-centered design process and deliver artifacts at appropriate fidelity.
• Contribute to reusable design system components for consistency and flexibility.
• Propose innovative designs that shape future products.
• Translate complex concepts into engaging and intuitive user experiences.
