Job summary

Clean Power Research is seeking a contract Product UX Designer to craft intuitive, data-driven experiences for their cloud energy software suite. The contractor will partner with product managers and engineers through discovery to high-fidelity design, and will contribute to PowerClerk and possibly SolarAnywhere projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Product Design, HCI, or similar field.
• 4+ years of UX design experience with emphasis on interaction design.
• Portfolio showing navigation, user flows, IA and information visualization.
• Clean, modern design with attention to detail; simplify complex experiences.
• Experience designing data-centric web applications; intuitive interfaces.
• Fluency in UX best practices: user-centered design, IA, interaction design.
• Experience building/participating in a shared design system.
• Ability to write clear component documentation for designers/engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement designs consistently.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into flows, IA diagrams, wireframes, mocks.
• Experience across low- to high-fidelity design; pixel-perfect specs.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma: components, auto layout, design libraries.
• Strong time management; independent work against timelines.
• Usability testing: planning and execution is a plus.
• Passion for renewables and clean energy transition.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product/Program Managers and Engineers to define design solutions.
• Deliver high-quality designs for new features and refine existing experiences.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams on ideation and definition of UX.
• Follow user-centered design processes with appropriate fidelity artifacts.
• Develop and maintain reusable design system components for consistency.
• Contribute innovative ideas shaping future product experiences.
• Translate complex concepts into engaging, intuitive user experiences.
