Job summary

Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing is seeking a Contract Outpatient Therapist to deliver diagnostic assessments and outpatient therapy remotely for a North Carolina-based client. You will manage a assigned caseload, ensure high-quality documentation in the EHR, and collaborate with clinical leadership to maintain compliance and service excellence.

The ideal candidate holds an MSW/MA in a behavioral health field, active North Carolina licensure (LCSW/LCSWA, LCMHC/LCMHC-A), and at least two

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
• Active North Carolina licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LCSWA), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC/LCMHC-A), or Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS/LCAS-A).
• Preferred minimum two years post-licensure clinical experience in mental health or substance use treatment.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Experience utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) for documentation and compliance.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic and comprehensive clinical assessments to determine client needs and medical necessity.
• Evaluate client urgency, complexity, strengths, risks, and support systems to inform treatment planning.
• Provide outpatient therapy services through telehealth and in-person sessions when applicable.
• Review referrals for eligibility and make admission recommendations per policies.
• Manage an assigned caseload with accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the EHR.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Director to support care coordination, resource allocation, and treatment planning.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, licensing requirements, and applicable regulations.
