Job summary

Medical Group Care in Naples, FL seeks an experienced Logistics Manager as an independent contractor to oversee end-to-end inbound and outbound product movement across the supply chain. You will coordinate ocean/air freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and retail distribution for FDA-regulated health products.

The role requires strong negotiation with carriers, brokers, and 3PLs, with emphasis on compliance and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export management, ideally with consumer products or FDA-regulated goods.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping (ocean freight, bills of lading, customs clearance processes)
• Experience working with major retail partners' logistics and compliance requirements (routing guides, EDI, chargeback resolution)
• Familiarity with FDA import requirements for OTC drugs, cosmetics, or related regulated products a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and comfort working directly with brokers, carriers, and retail logistics teams to resolve discrepancies
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Business Central experience a plus) and standard office/logistics software
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with 1099 contractor engagements and remote collaboration

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound international shipments (ocean and air freight), coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
• Track shipments end-to-end and resolve issues such as customs holds, documentation discrepancies, or variances
• Own relationships with carriers, 3PLs, and brokers; negotiate rates and service terms
• Ensure compliance with CBP requirements and FDA import regulations for regulated health products
• Coordinate with retail partners on routing guides, EDI/ASN requirements, and delivery compliance to avoid chargebacks
• Manage warehouse inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and coordination with 3PL/fulfillment partners
• Analyze and resolve retail logistics chargebacks and debit memos
• Maintain and improve SOPs for import/export, warehousing, and distribution logistics
• Prepare regular reporting on shipment status, on-time performance, and logistics costs for leadership
