Real Staffing is assisting a fast-growing medical device company in Irvine, CA to recruit a Global Logistics Manager who will lead and scale worldwide logistics operations. This role requires a strong background in medical device logistics, clinical supply support, and global transportation management.

You will partner with Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to drive supply chain optimization, implement scalable logistics infrastructure, and oversee ERP/WMS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of logistics or distribution experience.
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience supporting clinical supply logistics or investigational product distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of international transportation, customs regulations, import/export compliance, and global trade requirements.
  • Experience managing 3PL providers and distribution partners.
  • Hands-on ERP and WMS experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global logistics strategies across transportation, warehousing, distribution, and 3PL providers.
  • Support logistics activities related to clinical programs, investigational product movement, and commercial operations.
  • Manage international shipping and trade compliance, including customs, import/export regulations, and Incoterms.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics performance, visibility, and scalability.
  • Monitor inventory flow and fulfillment activities to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing supply disruptions.
  • Establish and track logistics KPIs, freight spend, 3PL performance metrics, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Partner closely with Clinical Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, R&D, and Finance teams.
  • Support ERP, warehouse management, and supply chain optimization initiatives.

Job description

A fast-growing innovative medical device company is seeking a Global Logistics Manager to lead and scale its worldwide logistics operations. This is a highly visible role responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of products and materials supporting development, clinical programs, and commercial activities.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in medical device logistics, clinical supply chain support, and global transportation and distribution management. This individual will play a key role in building and optimizing logistics infrastructure while collaborating cross-functionally with Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global logistics strategies across transportation, warehousing, distribution, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Support logistics activities related to clinical programs, investigational product movement, and commercial operations.
  • Manage international shipping and trade compliance, including customs, import/export regulations, and Incoterms.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics performance, visibility, and scalability.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of logistics, supply chain, or distribution experience.
  • Experience working within the medical device, life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting clinical trials, clinical supply logistics, or investigational product distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of international transportation, customs regulations, import/export compliance, and global trade requirements.
  • Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers and distribution partners.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Class III or highly regulated medical device products.
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO 13485, and global medical device regulatory requirements.
  • Hazardous materials shipping experience.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
