Mob Entertainment is seeking a talented Game Animator on a contract basis to bring characters, creatures, and gameplay mechanics to life. You will collaborate with art, design, and engineering teams to deliver polished 3D animations that fit the game's style and feel great for players.

Requirements include 5+ years in Maya, strong body mechanics, and experience with creature animation. A portfolio is required; salary ranges are listed for various US locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience animating in Autodesk Maya
• Strong understanding of body mechanics
• A keen eye for performance and weight
• Experience with creature animation (bipedal and quadrupedal)
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and team collaboration
• Creative problem-solving and ability to think beyond established solutions

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of animators to develop high-quality in-game animations and cinematics
• Work from storyboards when provided
• Craft strong poses and visual frames that represent characters and support game design goals
• Present work to the team and incorporate feedback from leads
• Own deliverables and manage milestones and deadlines while maintaining consistent style
• Refine animation processes to improve team productivity
• Animate a diverse range of creatures and characters for dynamic gameplay
