Responsibilities

• Examines insurance policies and records to determine coverage.
• Interviews claimants and witnesses regarding the claim.
• Consults police and hospital records to assess liability.
• Estimates repair or replacement costs.
• Prepares findings and negotiates settlements.
• Recommends litigation when settlements fail.
• Attends litigation hearings.
• Revises case reserves for costs.
• Assists in loss experience reporting to aid profitability.
