Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Adjuster – Liability to investigate, evaluate, and quantify insurance claims. You will determine coverage and liability, negotiate settlements, and support billing and collections while working from a remote/home office environment.

Ideal candidates possess strong adjusting and negotiating skills, excellent communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. A CIP designation and licensure are preferred, with a valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education required; CIP designation preferred.
• Must be licensed or able to obtain a provisional license.
• Proven adjusting and negotiating skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manages/adjusts assigned claims with thorough investigations and negotiations within authority.
• Maintains records in company systems and may work in external client systems.
• Handles billing for assigned files within timelines and assists with AR collection.
• Supports local marketing, attends events, and develops new business opportunities.
• Builds and maintains strong client relationships and participates in reviews/audits.
