Job summary

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is seeking a full-time Contact Center Specialist for the Heart and Vascular Institute. This remote position is based in the Pittsburgh area and requires occasional onsite attendance for meetings and training.

Responsibilities include first-line patient contact, scheduling, registration, billing inquiries, and guidance on MyUPMC access. Prior call center experience and a high school diploma are required; Epic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year general customer service experience and 6 months call center experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phone system prioritizing patient satisfaction and schedule appointments.
• Enter and verify patient demographic, financial, and insurance information in Epic.
• Process forms, documents, and correspondence for appointments and referrals.
• Advise patients on scheduling, registration, billing, and care access.
• Assist with post-discharge appointment coordination and patient follow-ups.
• Identify and address patient concerns and route to appropriate staff as needed.
