Job summary

Kavaliro is seeking a Consumer Loan Underwriter for a long-term contract opportunity. The role serves as a Centralized Lending Officer for consumer loan decisions and handles requests via Loans PQ, aiming to grant or deny loans within approved limits.

Responsibilities include evaluating financial positions, reviewing applications, communicating decisions to CUDL partners and staff, and supporting cross-selling efforts.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of underwriting or related experience.
• May require MLO license with NMLS federal registry or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in loan processing.
• Strong communication skills for dealer partners and members.

Responsibilities

• Make decisions to approve, deny, or forward loan requests.
• Assess members’ financial positions to evaluate risk.
• Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate loan decisions and programs to partners and staff.
• Process credit disputes and assist with lending-related tasks.
• Support cross-selling of lending products and handle weekend queues.
