Job summary

Henderson-Scott is seeking a Remote Construction Project Manager with light travel to lead industrial and warehouse projects across the United States, focusing on the Southeast region. You will manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors while maintaining strong client communication and site safety compliance.

The role requires coordinating with field leadership and internal teams, visiting sites as needed, and driving projects from preconstruction through closeout to meet profitability goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Manager experience in construction.
• OSHA 30 certification required or obtainable.
• Proficiency in project scheduling, cost tracking, and document control.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
• Travel throughout the country; typical schedule is 10 days on and 4 days off.
• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submissions to support scope definition, buyout, and execution.
• Lead project planning, site logistics coordination, and sequencing in collaboration with Superintendents.
• Procure, negotiate, and manage subcontractor scopes, contracts, and change orders.
• Monitor project costs, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain profitability.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and turnover activities with inspectors, consultants, and municipalities.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with owners, owner's representatives, and internal stakeholders.
• Support field teams by resolving constructability issues, RFIs, and schedule impacts.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including meeting minutes, daily reports, and weekly status updates.
• Enforce company safety policies in coordination with site supervision and safety personnel.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and local municipalities.
• Assist with subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and buyout as required.
