Sur La Table is seeking a Construction Manager, New Store Development to lead East Coast new store builds, remodels, and tenant improvements with end-to-end accountability. You’ll manage budgets from $50K to $2.5M+, establish GC and subcontractor relationships, and forecast with leadership for timely, on-budget delivery.

The role requires on-site flexibility for East Coast projects and travel up to 50%. Experience with restaurant/grocery construction and health-code coordination is essential.

Qualificações

• 5–7+ years in construction project management in retail/restaurant/grocery.
• Independent ownership of full lifecycle builds from $50K to $2.5M+.
• Experience with commercial kitchen construction and health-code coordination.
• Strong budgeting and forecasting background.
• Ability to read drawings and MEP docs; manage permits and inspections.
• Ability to travel 20–50% to project sites.

Responsabilidades

• Manage full lifecycle of projects from pre-construction to closeout.
• Own project budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting.
• Solicit bids, negotiate contracts with GC/subcontractors.
• Serve as owner’s on-site representative and primary communicator.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Ops, VM, IT, and Finance.
• Oversee kitchen buildouts including hood systems and gas lines.
• Handle permits, inspections, CO processes with architects/ authorities.
• Deliver detailed budget/forecast reports to leadership.
