Job summary

EquipmentShare is hiring a Construction Foreman in Jacksonville, FL, with remote work options. You will supervise carpenters and laborers, read blueprints, plan daily tasks, and oversee framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, and concrete work to ensure quality and safety.

You’ll train and mentor crew members, enforce safety standards, and coordinate with project managers to keep projects on schedule and within scope. The role demands strong leadership and hands-on construction experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter with leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and construction methods.
• Demonstrated ability to lead crews, delegate tasks, and manage job site workflow.
• Working knowledge of drywall installation and finishing.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Experience with concrete work (forming, pouring, finishing) is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and team coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate a crew of carpenters and laborers on active job sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications; communicate scope clearly to crew members.
• Plan daily tasks, assign work, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.
• Construct and oversee the building of frameworks such as walls, floors, and door/window frames.
• Oversee installation of structures and fixtures (doors, cabinets, drywall, trim, etc.).
• Direct and assist with drywall installation, finishing, and repairs.
• Coordinate and perform basic electrical, plumbing, and concrete work as needed.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting work for accuracy, safety, and craftsmanship standards.
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members to improve skill levels and productivity.
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure proper use of equipment, including lifts and machinery.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure alignment.
• Track progress, materials, and labor needs; report updates to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient job site.
