Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Construction Estimator to accurately estimate projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, supplier quotes, and related documents, creating market-competitive cost positions. This role supports project teams from a remote US home office and involves client meetings, site visits, and subcontractor negotiations.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of commercial estimating experience, proficiency with Excel and industry tools (BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, RS Means,

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of commercial construction estimator experience.
Degree in construction-related field a plus.
Retail/Restaurant TI experience preferred.
Knowledge of RFP Bid process helpful.
CSI divisions knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze drawings, specs, supplier quotes and generate cost estimates.
Create and compile detailed, market-competitive estimates.
Coordinate quotes from subcontractors across trades.
Collaborate with Operations on strategy and cost positioning.
Meet with clients and discuss estimates; attend site visits.
