Confidential Employer is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to manage an independent caseload as lead counsel with partner guidance. You will handle pre-litigation lien claims, payment bond disputes, and move a matter from demand through discovery, hearings, and post-judgment collection.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ year of meaningful litigation experience.
• Commercial litigation, construction litigation, creditors’ rights, lien claims, or related business litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an independent caseload as lead counsel with partner guidance.
• Handle pre-litigation lien and payment bond claims and related disputes.
• Take matters from demand through discovery, hearings, and post-judgment collection when necessary.
• Draft and argue motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment.
• Conduct legal research, discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Negotiate settlements and develop practical strategies to resolve matters efficiently.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and team members.
• Analyze issues, identify risks, and provide thoughtful recommendations.
• Deliver high-quality work while managing deadlines and priorities.
• Build trusted client relationships with practical, business-focused guidance.
