Job summary

Our client, a prestigious nationwide law firm, seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their Idaho team. You will handle pre-litigation and litigation matters related to real estate, title, mortgages, and creditor’s rights, with strong advocacy in writing and orally.

Requirements include a JD, TX admission (other footprint states a plus), and 5 years of litigation experience, though strong interest in real estate law may qualify entry-level candidates. Remote work not specified.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Texas (additional footprint states a plus).
• Five years of litigation experience preferred; strong interest in real estate or mortgage law.
• Knowledge of foreclosure, real estate, secured transactions and creditor's rights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet.
• Willingness to attend in-person hearings in Texas when required.
• Ability to manage large, complex caseload with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation cases from inception to completion.
• Handle pre-litigation and litigation matters involving real estate and mortgage law.
• Develop and approve budgets and legal strategy.
• Research risks, exposure and strategies; draft pleadings and motions.
• Conduct discovery and communicate with clients; attend hearings and mediations.
• Assist with bankruptcy motions and adversary proceedings as needed.
• Collaborate with supervising partner and other departments.
