Job summary

Teams Squared is seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to support its clients with in-house like integration within the client’s legal team. The role focuses on reviewing and negotiating construction contracts, advising on disputes, and ensuring regulatory compliance on a remote, worldwide basis.

The ideal candidate will have deep construction law experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Construction Lawyer.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts (AS 4000, D&C, EPC, bespoke agreements).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience advising APAC-based clients or projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts including EPC, design-build, subcontractor, and consultancy agreements.
• Advise on construction-related claims, change orders, delay disputes, and termination issues.
• Assist with project risk assessment and risk mitigation throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and external counsel as needed.
• Support dispute resolution including litigation or arbitration when necessary.
