Job summary

Syscon, Inc. is seeking an experienced construction accountant to support multiple clients with day-to-day accounting, payroll, job costing, and month-end close in a fully remote, national role.

Candidates with hands-on Sage 100 Contractor experience and the ability to communicate directly with clients will excel in this role within a supportive, team-oriented environment. U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Strong, recent hands-on construction accounting experience.
• Experience with contractors/subcontractors or construction-related businesses.
• Hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Sage 100 Contractor experience or strong experience in a comparable construction ERP.
• Job costing, month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations experience.
• Progress billing and WIP experience.
• Ability to manage multiple client priorities and communicate directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple construction clients.
• Process payroll and related payroll taxes, filings, and compliance responsibilities.
• Perform job costing, reconciliations, month-end close, and billing support.
• Support WIP, progress billing, AP, AR, audit, and year-end accounting needs.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and resolve routine accounting issues.
• Communicate directly with clients and manage multiple deadlines.
