Job summary

Milbank LLP is seeking a dynamic Conflicts Analyst to support the Conflicts Department and the Legal Risk & Compliance team. You will analyze data for potential new business and new employees, ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements. The role offers flexibility with fully remote work options in the NY Tri-state area and other U.S.

locations. The base salary range is $70,000 to $82,000, with compensation dependent on experience, performance, and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–4 years of risk management, research, conflicts searching or related experience in a law firm setting.
• Occasional overtime during weekends and holidays.
• Experience with legal technology platforms such as Intapp Open or similar conflicts systems/databases is a plus.
• Collaborative mindset with attention to detail and strong written/oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls, emails, and workflow requests from Firm attorneys, paralegals, and legal secretaries regarding the new business intake process.
• Process requests for conflicts searches and prepare clearance reports for Conflicts Attorneys and Partners.
• Work with conflict checking systems and databases (Intapp Open, Intapp Walls, S&P Capital IQ, LexisNexis, LSEG WorldCheck One).
• Review new business intake forms for accuracy and facilitate changes with the requesting partner.
• Facilitate review/approval and file saving of new business documentation (Outside Counsel Guidelines, Engagement Letters, Waiver letters).
• Maintain access to secured matters in Document Management System and Time Entry System via Intapp Walls.
• Regularly maintain databases and applications under supervision of the Conflicts Manager.
• Familiarity with corporate structure/affiliations and governance models in a global environment.
