Job summary

rockITdata is seeking a Configuration / Data Management Analyst to support a major federal healthcare modernization initiative. You will maintain project documentation, engineering artifacts, configuration baselines, and technical records throughout the SDLC, working with engineers, PMs, testers, and Government stakeholders to ensure traceability and readiness.

This role focuses on documentation, process improvement, and robust configuration management to enable successful system implementation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Three years of experience supporting configuration management, document control, or data management within enterprise IT environments.
• Experience managing document repositories, version control processes, and configuration baselines.
• Experience supporting SDLC documentation and engineering processes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage configuration management processes supporting enterprise healthcare technology implementations.
• Maintain configuration baselines, version control, and document repositories throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate updates to engineering documentation, architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and technical artifacts.
• Track configuration changes and ensure all documentation reflects approved modifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, development, testing, and project management teams to maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Support Integrated Design Reviews (IDR), Functional Readiness Reviews (FRR), and other governance activities by preparing configuration documentation and supporting materials.
• Maintain document approval workflows and ensure configuration items are properly reviewed and released.
• Perform configuration audits to verify documentation accuracy and compliance with established standards.
• Support project governance by maintaining audit-ready documentation and configuration records.
• Recommend process improvements that strengthen configuration management, documentation quality, and operational efficiency.
