Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an experienced Compliance, Threat & Risk Assessment Manager to lead enterprise-wide risk assessments and drive improvements across AML/CFT, sanctions, and monitoring programs.

The role collaborates with MLROs, CCOs, and stakeholders to produce executive-grade risk reports and governance materials. The candidate will develop a robust threat assessment framework, update geographic risk ratings, and push AI-powered automation while preserving strong human oversight.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in compliance, financial crimes, or operational risk within regulated finance
• Proven ability to lead large-scale risk assessments and influence senior stakeholders
• Deep expertise in AML/CFT, sanctions, TM/CRS, and risk frameworks
• Experience designing threat assessment frameworks across multi-entity environments
• Strong written communication, data analysis, and governance material skills
• Crypto-forward mindset with understanding of crypto products and risks

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise-wide compliance risk assessments and identify inherent and residual risk
• Partner with MLROs, CCOs, and cross-functional stakeholders for globally coordinated risk outcomes
• Produce risk reports, executive summaries, and governance materials for leadership
• Drive transaction monitoring coverage assessments and geographic risk rating updates
• Develop a compliance threat assessment framework with governance and standards
• Pioneer AI-powered automation to scale assessment workflows with human oversight
