Wonolo in the United States is seeking a Compliance Business Partner to support the Trust & Safety team with escalated worker incidents and workers' compensation programs. This fully remote role reports to the Manager of Trust & Safety within the Legal and Compliance organization.

You will work closely with Trust & Safety, Compliance and customer-facing teams to learn customer program operations, document investigations, and help reduce risk while prioritizing the worker experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of HR experience, ideally in employee relations, HR operations or compliance.
• Exposure to documenting or investigating harassment, discrimination or retaliation complaints.
• Foundational knowledge of employment law with judgment on when to escalate to Legal.
• Familiarity with workers' compensation or ability to learn quickly.
• Clear writing and strong collaboration skills.
• Self-starter who improves processes in a fast-paced setting.
• Care about the worker experience and building a career in employee relations and compliance.

Responsabilités

• Handling escalated worker incidents, triaging severity and documenting findings.
• Support investigations into harassment, discrimination, retaliation with risk assessment.
• Work with Trust & Safety to de-escalate cases and escalate to Legal when needed.
• Track incident patterns and suggest process improvements.
• Support workers' compensation strategy, reviewing loss runs and coordinating with partners.
• Assist with day-to-day claims, COIs, and claims workflow documentation.
• Flag co-employment risk and assist HR/compliance audits.
