Job summary

The North American Electric Reliability Corporation is seeking a mission-focused Compliance Assurance Advisor to provide oversight, guidance, and coordination for risk-based monitoring and certification programs across the ERO Enterprise.

Reporting to the Manager, Compliance Assurance, you will develop and manage assurance activities, deliver training, and collaborate with Regional Entities, industry stakeholders, and NERC committees to strengthen governance and promote reliable grid operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Five years of progressive experience leading operations projects and teams.
• Experience designing and delivering technical training programs.
• Experience in auditing, internal controls, enterprise risk management, and related governance, risk, and control frameworks.
• Ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage compliance assurance activities to implement risk-based monitoring and certification.
• Develop and execute oversight programs to evaluate adherence to procedures and agreements.
• Provide operations expertise related to risk management, auditing, and internal controls.
• Identify, develop, and deliver training and outreach to stakeholders.
• Provide leadership with recommendations to improve the oversight program.
• Identify opportunities and improve policies and procedures.
• Develop and manage relationships with committees and industry groups.
• Manage project schedules, risks, and change management.
• Report on project status, risks, and milestones.
• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls and noncompliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
