Job summary

The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) is seeking a Senior Compliance Assurance Advisor to lead risk-based monitoring and certification programs. The role requires directing compliance activities, developing training, and coordinating with regional entities and industry stakeholders to strengthen reliability across the grid.

The position offers a full-time remote-capable arrangement with travel to NERC offices and meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years leading operations projects and teams.
• Experience designing and delivering technical training.
• Auditing, risk management, and GRC frameworks experience.
• Advanced project management and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage compliance assurance activities and project plans.
• Oversee risk-based compliance monitoring and certification programs.
• Provide SME support on risk management, auditing, and internal controls.
• Deliver training and outreach to Regional Entities and industry participants.
• Report on project status, risks, and milestones.
• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls.
