Job summary

Griffin, a fully regulated UK bank powering fintechs, is seeking a hands-on compliance adviser in the first line to embed regulatory requirements into product, sales and operations. You’ll help design compliant processes around card issuing, consumer duty, and financial promotions as Griffin scales.

You’ll work with Protect and the Service guild, shaping governance, risk controls and measurable outcomes. Remote-first with UK-wide hiring, competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Compliance experience in the first or second line of a UK regulated firm.
• Practical knowledge of the rules behind Griffin's products (e.g., Consumer Duty, CASS, FISMA).
• Hands-on approach turning regulation into practical requirements for product, sales or operations.
• Curious, questioning mindset; asks the right questions before sign-off.
• Confidently challenge when something isn’t right.
• Strong writing skills for clear, accessible documentation.

Responsibilities

• Turn regulation into practical requirements for product and operations from ideation to launch.
• Keep live products compliant through assessments, monitoring and governance.
• Assist sales in risk checks and review marketing materials for regulatory compliance.
• Ensure marketing promotions and external communications meet regulations and internal policies.
• Embed regulatory requirements into day-to-day Service operations and controls.
• Analyze regulatory changes and coordinate timely adaptations with teams.
• Investigate issues, report on risks and customer outcomes, and engage Protect early.
