About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Remote Community Health Advocate to join their vital health services team. This fully remote position will focus on improving health outcomes for individuals and families in the Queenstown area by providing crucial health education, resource navigation, and support. You will connect community members with healthcare providers, inform them about preventative health measures, and assist them in accessing vital health services, all through virtual platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a background in health education or social work, adept at utilizing technology to reach and support diverse populations. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while making a significant impact on community health.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote health education and information on preventative care, chronic disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Assist community members in navigating the healthcare system, including understanding insurance, scheduling appointments, and finding providers.
• Advocate for clients' health needs, ensuring they receive appropriate and timely medical attention.
• Develop and distribute accessible health information materials through digital channels.

Requirements

• Degree or certification in Health Education, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field.
