Job summary

JLA Public Involvement seeks a full-time Coordinator in Portland, OR who is highly organized, an excellent writer, and a strong communicator. You will manage multiple projects, coordinate events, and translate complex government information for diverse communities.

You’ll engage with clients, communities, and colleagues, learning public involvement principles and supporting a fast-paced, client-focused team across Oregon and SW Washington. Remote work is possible on project needs.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years relevant work experience in public-facing fields or related studies.
• Effective written communication and ability to translate complex info clearly.
• Experience communicating with diverse groups in-person or virtual.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects, schedule and plan logistics for events and meetings.
• Summarize community feedback and rewrite complex information for the public.
• Support multiple projects with strong attention to deadlines and budgets.
• Facilitate meetings, take notes, and maintain professional client relationships.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure quality control and polished outputs.
