Job summary

LJA is seeking a Project Manager in its Public Engagement Division to lead communications-based strategies and community outreach for public-sector and infrastructure clients. You will manage client relationships, budgets, schedules, and teams while translating technical information into clear materials.

Ideal candidates will bring 8+ years in communications or related fields, strong writing and presentation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, client-focused

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of experience in communications, public outreach, or related field with public-sector or infrastructure exposure preferred.
• Proven ability to manage client projects, scopes, budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience leading staff or project teams and providing performance feedback.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager and primary point of contact for public-sector/infrastructure projects.
• Develop and implement strategic communications, public involvement, stakeholder engagement, and outreach plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage schedules and budgets to deliver high-quality work on time.
• Provide strategic communications counsel on messaging, public sentiment, media strategy, and issues management.
• Prepare materials explaining complex topics and coordinate public meetings and events.
• Mentor and develop team members through coaching and performance feedback.
