Job summary

NIWRC is seeking a Communications Specialist to support strategic communications across digital and print platforms. The role focuses on writing, editing, social media, website updates, email campaigns, and visual assets, translating NIWRC programmes and advocacy into accessible content for education and outreach.

Working closely with the Director of Communications, the specialist will develop consistent messaging, manage campaigns, track performance, and prepare reports while traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in communications or related field.
• Experience writing and editing content for multiple platforms (web, email, social).
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, engaging materials and maintain consistent messaging.

Responsibilities

• Content writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting materials for promo and publications.
• Manage NIWRC’s social media platforms and online presence.
• Update website content and coordinate with teams for resources.
• Draft and distribute email newsletters and campaigns.
• Develop visuals and templates for reports, publications, and social channels.
• Collaborate across teams to support grants, outreach, and public statements.
