Job summary

CalOptima is seeking a Communications Specialist to support internal and external communications. You will write and design content for newsletters, manage internal documents, and ensure brand consistency across communications.

You will also plan and create social media content, monitor channels, and collaborate on video projects while analyzing engagement metrics to improve outreach. A degree in communications and 1+ year of social media experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field plus 2 years of professional writing experience.
• 1 year of social media experience in Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn operations.

Responsibilities

• Writes articles, gathers photos and designs content for weekly news email and monthly staff e-newsletter, upholding deadlines and accuracy.
• Serves as the primary Communications department contact for internal documents like recognition weeks, benefits information and HR material.
• Reviews communication pieces to ensure CalOptima Health style, brand and messages.
• Plans and maintains weekly social media calendars; creates content and posts daily.
• Gathers social media metrics and builds monthly dashboards to monitor performance and engagement.
• Collaborates with videographer to develop social media video content.
