Job summary

Trans Lifeline is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join the Advancement team. This remote, US-based role focuses on timely, consistent communications, content creation, and community engagement.

You will support day-to-day operations, manage social media content, and coordinate with department leadership to advance our mission. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and skilled in Canva, social media tools, and data reporting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years managing a social media account for an organization
• 1+ years in communications, marketing, or public relations
• 1+ years creating graphics, flyers, or social media assets in Canva or similar
• 1+ years in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, charts, basic formulas)
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Awareness of social media trends and issues affecting transgender communities
• Ability to remain grounded in emotionally demanding environments through self-regulation
• Commitment to Trans Lifeline values including justice, equity, and anti-oppression

Responsibilities

• Social Media Content Creation & Administration
• Assist with video content production, editing, captioning, formatting, and publishing across platforms
• Schedule social content in Statusbrew per content calendar
• Monitor engagement and compile performance reports for leadership
• Stay informed about trends and events affecting communications strategy
• Serve as first contact for website inquiries and partnerships across platforms
• Route inquiries to staff and ensure timely follow-up
• Engage with community and respond to comments in alignment with brand voice
• Attend events to capture content and raise awareness
