Job summary

CDI is seeking a Communications & Content Manager to translate CDI's research into high-quality, on-message content. You will own the production of newsletters, blogs, social content, and thought-leadership pieces, coordinating with experts and partnerships to sustain a predictable editorial cadence.

You will help grow CDI's national voice in higher education, build media relationships, and support demand generation through compelling content and case studies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in communications, content marketing, or journalism in higher education or advocacy.
• Strong editorial operator with calendars, cadences, and systems.
• Exceptional writer and editor with fast turnarounds.
• Cross-functional collaborator across subject-matter experts, marketing, and partnerships.
• Media awareness with ability to draft pitches and build press relations.
• Brand- and design-minded with templates and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the editorial calendar and owned content across channels.
• Run a unified organic social calendar across brand and leadership content.
• Coordinate with Partnerships and Marketing on webinars, conferences, and pipelines.
• Turn research into blogs, op-eds, posts, and newsletters.
• Draft pitches and help build press relationships for earned media.
• Produce marketing collateral and maintain brand templates and standards.
