EMC Insurance is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to manage a profitable book of business within the Midwest region. You will evaluate complex accounts, set risk pricing, and educate agents on EMC products and services.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in insurance or business, 3+ years in commercial lines underwriting, and CPCU is preferred. The role supports remote work for Midwest residents with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in insurance or business or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in commercial lines underwriting; CPCU preferred.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis.

Responsabilités

• Underwrites and maintains a profitable book of business for assigned accounts.
• Evaluates complex accounts for risk selection and pricing.
• Develops agency relationships and educates agents on EMC products and processes.
• Communicates decisions clearly to agents and negotiates terms.
