EMC Insurance Companies is seeking an experienced underwriter to manage a profitable book within a defined territory. You will assess complex accounts, set pricing directions, and ensure high service levels for agents and customers.

Responsibilities include educating agents on EMC products, building strong agency relationships, and coordinating with marketing to support growth. Occasional travel and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in insurance or business administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Three years of experience in commercial lines underwriting.
• CPCU designation preferred.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite and maintain a profitable book of business within assigned territory.
• Evaluate complex accounts for risk selection and pricing.
• Educate agents on EMC products, underwriting appetite, systems, and services.
• Develop and foster agency relationships and monitor progress toward goals.
• Coordinate with marketing and branch management in planning and reviews.
• Travel as needed with a valid driver’s license.
