Job summary

Proliant Settlement Systems, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Title Examiner to join our title production team. The ideal candidate has 2 years of dedicated commercial experience and can work remotely with an initial orientation at our Auburn Hills office in Michigan.

The role emphasizes examining title, researching records, and providing underwriting solutions to support real estate transactions. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Commercial Title Examiner, Title Officer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of title search and examination processes; familiarity with title plant and related sources.
• Experience with title search software and databases is a plus; proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Examine land title records for status of title and related instruments.
• Research title resources and public records; issue a commitment based on title status.
• Provide underwriting solutions to complete transactions and guide closings.
• Search deed and judgment records using county software and websites.
• Check bankruptcies and Patriot Act blacklist related to property owners.
