Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business across remote locations in the U.S. The role requires an active P&C license and insurance industry experience, with CIC or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities include policy administration, renewals, billing, claims support, and collaboration with the account team to deliver excellent service and maintain data accuracy in agency systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Active licensing required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals
• Monitor reports and address delinquent accounts
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team
• Deliver proactive service and uphold IOA values
• Stay compliant with company policies and procedures
• Seek continuous improvement for individual and team performance
