Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines in a remote-friendly role open to California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. You will manage a book of business, retain clients, and coordinate day-to-day administration.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), an active P&C license, and strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Active licensing in insurance
• Strong knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload and issues.
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to service requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
