High Impact Financial Analysis is seeking a Commercial Credit Underwriter in Albany, NY or remote. The role focuses on underwriting for community development finance, not residential mortgage or insurance underwriting.

Candidates will analyze project and sponsor risk, prepare credit memos, and support Excel analyses. The position can be senior or non-senior based on experience, with a strong emphasis on social impact and collaboration across a small team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or business with finance concentration, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and credit memo writing skills required.
• Proficiency in Excel analysis and financial modeling helpful.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project and sponsor risk to prepare clear credit memos.
• Synthesize information and support Excel analyses for underwriting.
• Manage two to four deals concurrently with 3–6 week timelines.
• Collaborate with staff to improve efficiency and meet deadlines.
