Job summary

MSU Federal Credit Union is seeking a Commercial (Business) Credit Analyst to assess creditworthiness of commercial loan requests by analyzing financial statements, tax returns, and related data. You will prepare credit narratives to support Lending decisions and monitor portfolio risk over time.

The role offers onsite, hybrid, or remote work with residency within Michigan or Illinois. Occasional travel to East Lansing may be required as part of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree or higher preferred in business, finance, or related field.
• Experience with Windows Microsoft 365 applications is expected.
• Experience in underwriting or credit analysis within a financial institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other data to assess creditworthiness of commercial loan applicants.
• Prepare written credit narratives summarizing analysis and risk for loan decisions.
• Conduct ongoing reviews of existing loans to monitor portfolio risk and identify issues.
• Collaborate with Loan Officers to structure facilities and ensure regulatory compliance.
