Job summary

Armada is hiring an early career Commercial Counsel to own deals and support commercial growth. You’ll draft and negotiate customer and procurement agreements and partner with GTM, Engineering, and Product to keep deals moving while balancing risk.

You’ll join a small legal team reporting to the Head of Legal, with a focus on AI infrastructure, hardware, and software deals. This role is remote-based in the continental US with preference for Eastern/Central time zones.

Qualifications

• JD from accredited law school and active US state bar.
• 3+ years in law firms and in‑house supporting commercial transactions.
• 2+ years in‑house at a B2B technology company (software/hardware/AI).
• Ability to run commercial negotiations independently and close on schedule.
• Sound legal judgment paired with business sense.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, order forms, vendor agreements, and public sector contracts.
• Manage a steady volume of deals independently, with reviews at key decision points.
• Partner with GTM, Deal Desk, Engineering, Product, and the business to move deals forward while managing risk.
• Maintain contract templates and negotiation playbooks and suggest improvements where friction occurs.
• Research and apply evolving legal/regulatory frameworks across AI, hardware, data privacy, and government contracting.
• Support international transactions and cross‑border data issues.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on matters, scoping requests, and summarizing outcomes for stakeholders.
• Build cross‑functional relationships and communicate effectively with non‑legal teams.
• Maintain accurate contract records in the CLM and report deal cycle metrics.
