Job summary

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Commercial Contract Litigation Attorney to support an AI evaluation project focused on multi-turn commercial disputes. You will apply practical litigation judgment to evolving simulated case developments and produce polished legal documents with limited direction.

This remote, part-time contractor role requires 20+ hours weekly, U.S.-based, with compensation of $100–$150 per hour and English-language drafting emphasis; bring experience with commercial contract

Qualifications

• Active or lapsed admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 3 years of substantive post-JD practice focused on commercial contract litigation.
• Experience drafting motions, discovery materials, pleadings, briefs, or demand letters.
• Strong written English and mastery of legal drafting.
• Ability to work independently and produce high-quality documents with limited direction.

Responsibilities

• Draft motions, briefs, demand letters, discovery documents, and related pleadings.
• Respond to simulated opposing-counsel moves while preserving case theory and strategic posture.
• Create rubric items defining benchmarks for strong and persuasive legal responses.
• Revise drafts in response to senior direction and changing facts or strategy.
• Identify procedural questions, missing information, and factual ambiguities for project leads.
• Maintain appropriate confidentiality and ethical standards.
