Job summary

Werner Learning & Coaching seeks 1–2 college counselors to guide high school students through the full admissions journey. This is a part-time, fully remote contract role with a starting rate of $82.50/hr, 1099 eligibility, and nationwide families.

You’ll work with Common App, UC, Counselmore, and other portals, delivering weekly 1:1 advising, coordinating timelines, and protecting student voice. WL&C Certification is provided to ensure an industry-standard level of care.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching college admissions or related guidance.
• Familiarity with major portals: Common App, UC, Coalition.
• Residence in the U.S. and eligibility to work as a 1099 contractor.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly 1:1 online sessions guiding students through admissions strategy.
• Build balanced school lists across fit, finances, and major.
• Guide essays from brainstorm to final draft while preserving student voice.
• Coordinate timelines and document flow across applications and recommenders.
• Maintain session notes and provide family updates weekly.
