Job summary

Vitae Health Systems is seeking a Georgia-licensed Psychiatrist to serve as Collaborating Physician for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. This remote, part-time role provides clinical oversight, periodic chart review, and protocol consultation to NP-led behavioral health teams.

The Collaborating Psychiatrist will enter collaborative agreements, review medication documentation, and offer guidance to ensure high standards of care within Georgia regulations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry.
• Active and unrestricted Georgia medical license.
• DEA registration preferred.
• Ability to enter into collaborative agreements with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners under Georgia law.
• Interest in supporting team-based psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Enter into and maintain a Collaborative Practice Agreement / Nurse Protocol Agreement with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
• Conduct periodic chart reviews and co-sign documentation as required by Georgia regulations.
• Review and sign off on medication management and prescribing documentation when applicable.
• Be available for clinical consultation regarding patient care and treatment planning.
• Provide general oversight and feedback to ensure high standards of psychiatric care.
• Participate in periodic protocol review and quality assurance activities as required by state guidelines.
