Job summary

Workit Health is seeking a Collaborating Physician to remotely oversee Advanced Practice Providers via telehealth, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care. The role centers on collaboration, mentorship, and clinical governance across the care team.

The physician will review patient charts, advise on treatment protocols, and participate in credentialing processes while maintaining availability during business hours for consults and guidance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in New York and New Jersey.
• Board Certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry preferred.
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Psychiatry with 1+ year SUD experience.
• DEA registration in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight of the APP remotely.
• Review charts and records treated by the APP.
• Consult with the APP during normal business hours.
• Meet the APP at least monthly for synchronous consultation.
• Assist with developing care protocols and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for Collaboration.
• Support credentialing and communication with leadership.
